Today’s Full Moon in Aquarius is quite fascinating, and although there are some energies to remain vigilant about, the influence is positively transformative.

The main theme of the Moon in Aquarius opposite the Sun in Leo is to be a powerful role model by championing the needs of the group ahead of self-entitlement. The Moon in Aquarius has an impersonal nature, and its logical, scientific, yet revolutionary energies nurture collective growth.

There are two major, powerful-but-positive star patterns in our skies during tonight’s Full Moon. The first is a KITE, which can lift us to new levels of existence or consciousness, helping us see the bigger picture and find constructive outlets for latent talents. The second is a MYSTIC RECTANGLE, guiding us toward positive solutions to building tensions.

Let’s look at the KITE first. A free-flowing grand trine between Pluto in Aquarius, Mars in Libra, and Uranus in Gemini encourages a desire for equanimity and the bridging of differences to bring major shifts and awakenings in humanity’s consciousness. Sextiles are also formed with focal planets Saturn and Neptune in Aries. The Neptune/Saturn in Aries theme we will experience over the next 12 months represents the “Spiritual Warrior.” Aries is a sign of passionate confrontation—fighting for what they believe in. With Aries’ ruler, Mars, in Libra, the fight becomes about justice, balance, fairness, and restoring harmony. I’m reminded of the mantra of the Fourth Ray: “Harmony through conflict, beauty and art.”

The MYSTIC RECTANGLE also involves Pluto in Aquarius, Mars in Libra, and Saturn/Neptune in Aries, but it includes the faster-moving—and more personal—Mercury. Mercury, the Messenger, creates bridges of communication between disparities. Mercury in Leo finds highly creative ways to express thoughts and ideas, encouraging far-sighted yet intuitive leadership. Because Mercury is still retrograde, moving backwards through Leo, ideas or projects that had been put on the back burner can be reignited—this time with greater success.

Meanwhile, Venus and Jupiter are having their own little “love-in” in Cancer, enhancing feelings of love toward nurturing our families and loved ones. This is the perfect time to enjoy snuggling on the couch under a cosy blanket, with a big bowl of your favourite comfort food, your most cherished book, or your favourite company—human or pet.

We are in a long cycle of compelling and undeniable transformation. Sometimes that transformation feels like the shedding of skin—painful, leaving us raw and exposed. Yet with that pain and vulnerability also comes an awareness of something greater and more expansive than we could ever have imagined.

Full Moons are always a time of reaping what we have sown, using the fruits of our labour to invest in our continued growth, while also recognising that it will soon be time to let go of what inhibits us.
