Full Moon in Leo - Shocks and Upsets

Growing tensions between groups and authorities creates feelings of alienation

Be kind and gentle to each other, this week, friends.

Preparing the Cosmic SunScopes for the Full Moon in Leo, I realised that this is a profoundly shocking and upsetting Full Moon, and it will be important to cast aside our personal egos and fixed viewpoints, to avoid the worst of the harsh energies.

A powerful and difficult t-square between the Sun in Aquarius, Moon in Leo and Uranus in Taurus disrupts teamwork, causing rebellions against individuals or authorities who are putting their own needs above that of the group. Simmering tensions caused by radical, differing opinions may cause unexpected setbacks, upsets and sudden, major adjustments.

The Sun in Aquarius represents emotional detachment, impersonality, originality, intelligence and individual responsibility towards the group. The Moon in Leo is sensitive about self-image, creative will, and self-expression. When the two are opposed, there is conflict between an impersonal need for group unification and a need to be seen, respected and appreciated. Throw in Uranus in Taurus in a tense square, and you have disruptions to serenity, calm, productivity and manifestation, with each of the signs fixed and unprepared to change their position.

Mars, the planet of war, is retrograde and out of bounds, meaning that not only is it behaving outside of acceptable rules, but it is also frustrated and stifled! Poke the bear and you may not anticipate another's explosive reaction, particularly if you speak your mind too quickly, or approach a conversation from an arrogant or fixed position.

Mars is forming a positive trine to Saturn, and although the nature of a trine encourages agreement between planets, when those planets involved can be rather difficult, such as with Mars and Saturn, it can intensify those difficulties. Mars can be volatile and aggressive, especially when thwarted, and Saturn can be rigid and authoritarian.

Who will back down without a fight? It would appear neither.

With an emphasis on the Aquarian and Uranian energies of rebelling against authority, there is a battle of wills and strength taking place.

The king may not appreciate being opposed and confronted by the people!

The Full Moon culminates on Thursday the 13th February but the energies can already be felt and will continue to build - and at times explode - over the coming week.

By the end of the month, we are headed for some much friendlier planetary aspects, but until then please take extra care with all that you do, and be especially kind to each other. It is not the time for reckless and thoughtless words or actions.
