Full Moon in Sagittarius - The desire to expand your horizons

As we move into June, relationships come into focus, fitting for Gemini season, which is the sign of the twins and from an esoteric perspective, represents a desire to explore relationships, blend opposites, network and form connections.
The Full Moon is a time when projects come to fruition and matters are completed. We often reap the rewards of our productivity during the Full Moon, or situations come to their conclusion.
The Moon is in Sagittarius, where communication needs focussed expression but is driven by idealism. There is an underlying need to expand horizons; physically, mentally and especially spiritually. The Moon influences our emotions, and bathed in the full light of Sagittarius, expands our awareness of what we aspire towards, the need to explore and to venture forward, freely.
We now have an experience that there is a bigger, wider world out there to venture into, and from which we can draw our experiences.
The Sun in Gemini is a mutable air sign, where communication invokes more questions than answers, but endeavours to bridge opposing energies in some way. The opposing energies are between what the ego/personality wants and what the soul needs, and those in our environment (whether they be friends, lovers, family or colleagues) act as mirrors for what we want to embrace or reject. It is important not to overly romanticize what another can offer and instead, express the energy ourselves.
Don't be dragged into the Underworld!
Venus is stirring up strong feelings and drama - possibly even love triangles. The planet in rulership over love and attraction, Venus, moves closer towards an opposition to Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, evoking raging passions, jealousies, power struggles and obsession. Expressed positively, this aspect also gives procreative powers and artistic expression. As Venus and Pluto are in opposition, there can be disagreements over money and “who-owes-who” or “who-owns-what”.
Issues over possessions and joint finances have been brewing for the past 18 months because the Moon’s nodes are moving through Taurus and Scorpio, placing an emphasis on 2nd house matters of money, finances, personal resources, material resources and self esteem.
With Jupiter in Taurus conjunct the North Node, now may be the perfect time to free yourself from financial partnerships and arrangements which drain you of your money, time, energy or positive self-image, and move towards beneficial, symbiotic relationships (both personal and business), which benefit from generosity, ethics and understanding.
Greater sense of fulfilment and happiness
You should be feeling a greater sense of happiness under the current Full Moon with Venus and Jupiter in harmonious aspect. The happy pairing of these planets creates feelings of joy, a sense of popularity, falling in love, warm heartedness and attraction. Expressed negatively there is a need to watch spending, over-indulgence, wastefulness and excessive feelings.
Moving the immovable
I talked about the T-square of Pluto, Jupiter/North Node and Mars in my last post, and the potent energies of that tense aspects are still at play, repeatedly triggered over coming months when any planets move to 0 degrees of the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.
Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius people with the Sun at 0 degrees (or within a few degrees of that) are those most likely to be influenced by the Nodes coming to 0 degrees of the Taurus and Scorpio axis. You may be given a last “heave-ho” of being taught how to self-love and self-value, and how to be more financially independent.
Both Scorpio and Taurus require comfort. Scorpio values emotional comfort and Taurus values physical comfort (although each have a slightly different experience of what comfort means). Both signs can get stuck in their comfort zones, and over the last 18 months the nodes have been bringing their comfort zones to attention. Current transits challenge these comfort zones and bring an opportunity for sudden big shifts, but not without the same type of powerful force that moves mountains during earthquakes.
Now is the time to let go of fear and walk the talk of self-love, inner security and self-value.
Coming up for air and taking a lighter approach
Ultimately Gemini and Sagittarius assist us to shift from positions of rigidity and predictability, take a lighter and more curious approach, and turn towards opportunities for greater fulfilment and success.
Mercury, ruler of Gemini, approaches a conjunction with the great liberator - and separator - Uranus in Taurus. Taurus rules the throat and throat chakra, giving a talent for speaking or singing. Perhaps now is the time to speak your truth and let the chips fall where they may?
This conjunction also encourages inventive thinking, a desire for mental excitement, heightened intuition, and interests in technical, scientific, mechanical and mathematical subjects.
Things said may be shocking, but can liberate us from delusions and ultimately set us free. There can also be sudden changes in circumstances relating to stocks, investments, property, commercial trades, business partnerships.
Kindness and compassion
Venus and Neptune form a delightful aspect under the Full Moon, which helps artists, creatives, musicians and romantics to dream beautiful dreams. Venus is at her final degrees of Cancer where she is extremely loving and shows her love by taking care and feeding loved ones, providing housing and comfort, mothering and nurturing, being kind. In aspect to Neptune, there is a greater sense of compassion and selflessness. Okay, so perhaps we will keep those rose coloured glasses on just for another day or two.
Relating is growing separately together
I’ve chosen the card of ‘Relating’ for this Full Moon. Key words are bonding, projecting, sharing. The message is “Relationship is growing separately together. We relate to be related to. We bond with another to bond with ourselves. I seek in you what it is hard to find within. In loving you I know I exist. Yes, I project, wanting things not realisable, and hurting my acceptance of you as you are. My commitment is to the relationship, to you, and to my integrating what is evoked in our relating I seek not to praise or blame you, but to affirm your being as I affirm my own. Ours is a loving bond, both within and without. I accept the challenge to love.” - The Dream Cards
