Transforming your desire nature and manifesting a more powerful and prosperous you!

Saturday 6th May sees the second eclipse along the Taurus/Scorpio axis, this time a Full Moon in the intensive and sensitive sign of Scorpio.

This Full Moon brings to light emotional issues where we have been stuck in patterns of behaviour that are preventing us from creating or building financial security and prosperity.

As the lunar nodes move towards the end of their time in Taurus and Scorpio, we are finally able to experience the benefits of the self-mastery we have been steadfastly developing and working towards, particularly over the past 18 months. This is especially true in matters relating to overcoming addictions, addressing poverty consciousness, healing trauma, building emotional strength and resilience, becoming clear about issues relating to self worth, recognising our value, creating greater abundance, or conserving and building our physical energy, practical skills and financial resources.

The Eclipse - drawing our attention to our darker subconscious patterns

The light of the Sun in Taurus is cast upon the surface of the Moon in Scorpio and then momentarily blocked, thrusting the Moon into darkness and drawing our attention to our own darker subconscious patterns or shadow sides. The shadow nature of both Scorpio and Taurus include an inability to accept another’s perspective, refusal to move from their position, lust for comfort, power or money, addictions, laziness, overindulgence, ruthlessness, fanaticism, possessiveness, jealousy and greed.

Circumstances may arise which force us to confront these aspects of ourselves. However if we have been using the last 18 months to work on healing and transforming the lower natures of these signs, then now we may have a sudden opportunity which increases our creative power and rewards us with a greater flow of abundance as well.

The greatest test of the current eclipse cycle is to remain true to your self-integrity. If circumstances arise which expose past patterns of lack of self worth, make a concerted effort to commit to future actions and activities which continue to express your unlimited creative power and competence.

Sudden new circumstances, separations and reversals

Uranus, planet of revolutionary change, sudden turns, separations and new circumstances is closely connected to the eclipse, so there is an even greater emphasis on the unexpected occurring. Again, this can happen for both good or bad. Uranus can create shockwaves but at times those shockwaves can be helpful, as they liberate us from situations that we have outgrown, or place us into situations where our unique genius has the ability to be fully expressed.

Another powerhouse planet, Pluto, whose influence is also on the masses, is stationing retrograde, while Jupiter approaches him in a tense aspect. We may see large, world-scale projects come to a grinding halt which have a problematic effect on the economy. Expect to receive news of major fluctuations in the stock market, and those in positions of power in government, law or treasury coming into conflict.

This is also an aspect of major group uprisings and it will be interesting to see what unexpected events shake up the Coronation of King Charles III. I would not be surprised to see large groups in the UK protesting the overt displays of wealth by the monarchy, as more and more "commoners" are being plunged further into poverty and homelessness.

Unconditional love and looking at love through rose-coloured glasses

Although Jupiter, planet of opportunity, and Venus, planet of love and attraction are in harmonious aspect, Venus is in the sign of Jupiter’s fall which can tend us towards living beyond our means, or investing in relationships which are unlikely to bring any great sense of satisfaction in the longer term. Love affairs which are based purely on physical attraction, erotic imagination, or infatuation, may receive an uncomfortable wake up call, bringing to light a stark lack of shared values or compatible goals for the future.

Now is not quite the right time to pledge your undying commitment to a new love relationship which has formed very quickly, however with Mercury retrograding through Taurus, conjunct North Node and approaching a sextile with Saturn, deep discussions and concentration on slow but sure advancement will benefit and sustain business or working partnerships and set them in good stead for many years to come.

Calling all artists to know their true worth

On a larger world scale, with Venus and Mercury featuring prominently during the eclipse (Mercury retrograding in Taurus - the Sign of Venus’ rulership - conjunct the North Node; Venus in Mercury’s sign of Gemini, thereby in mutual reception, and Venus in hard aspect to Neptune and soft aspect to Jupiter) it would be remiss to ignore the plight of artists, writers, actors and musicians to be acknowledged and valued for their contribution of beauty and inspiration to the world. Some may feel they are going backwards or being taken for granted, although this is likely to pass quickly once the eclipse has passed. We then have an opportunity to overcome our own inner self doubts, truly believe in our skills and take a leap of faith towards living life more authentically.

The merry month of May?

May is a powerful month astrologically.

Not only are we in eclipse season, a time when circumstances can suddenly change, but we are also building towards a very powerful and tense t-square at 0 degrees of the fixed signs, which completes on the 20th of May.

Planets at 0 degrees manifest change because they are have moved from one sign to another, a time when they are at their most potent.

Jupiter in Taurus, Mars in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius promises extraordinary force, major ambition, huge effort, creative power, social regeneration, uprisings, and a great concentration of energy to achieve a particular objective.

This will be a time we will come to remember. Don’t dissipate your energy with over-indulgence, arrogance or imposing your will onto others. Focus all of your power on expressing your resourcefulness, manifesting your full talents and building towards a more powerful and prosperous you!
